The Johnson House Library services grades 3-6 at Stratford Academy. The full-time Library/Media Specialist is Mrs. Raspet. The library is open during school hours of 8:30 to 3:30 during the week.  Any person interested in volunteering at the library can phone (203) 385-4180 during school hours or e-mail Mrs. Raspet at raspetk@stratfordk12.org  and leave a brief message.

At the library we want students to be independent, self-motivated, disciplined learners. Providing a positive experience for each child and encourage age appropriate interactions with all forms of technology is important. Students develop skills to make independent choices about when to use technology tools and print materials integrated with various curriculum disciplines. The Stratford Board of Education has an Acceptable Use Policy for all students.

Library activities focus on collaborative integrated lessons with the classroom teachers. They focus on Information Literacy and technology with problem solving and critical thinking skills for students to be life long learners and readers at the library.
