I was born and raised in Stratford. I attended Stonehill College, where I had the opportunity to study abroad and do some teaching in Northern England. Upon graduating from Stonehill, I returned to Stratford and began my teaching career with Stratford Public Schools. I have been teaching since 1993. During my earlier years of teaching, I took courses at Southern Connecticut State University to receive a Master’s Degree in Elementary Education and a Sixth Year Degree in Educational Leadership.

I enjoy reading, traveling, shopping and doing SuDoku puzzles. I love spending time with my family, especially my husband, Greg and our two daughters, and friends.

I have always valued education and could not think of a better way to pass on that value than to teach. To see children make progress both academically and socially is a true reward. I look forward to many more years of helping children to become lifelong, independent learners.
